Apprenticeship Applicant Instructions

Please read ALL instructions before returning the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered for apprenticeship. Applications for Apprenticeship may be returned in person the first Monday or work day of each month between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 pm along with the $20.00 Application fee to the Apprentice Training Center located in the brick building behind the Main Hall.

You may also pick up an application during the school session, April 9 -20, 2018 Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm along with the $20.00 Application fee to be completed before May 19, 2018 at the Iron Workers Local 392 Apprentice Training Center located in the brick building behind the Main Hall.

The returned application packet MUST include ALL of the following: (NO EXCEPTIONS!)

1. $20.00 Application Fee (Cash only)
2. Completed Application
                    a. Acknowledgement sheet
                    b. Application questionnaire
                    c. Three references
                    d. Signed Standards of Excellence
                    e. Signed Certification
3. Copy of Birth Certificate
4. Copy of Valid Driver’s License
5. Copy of Social Security Card
6. Copy of High School or GED Diploma along with grade transcripts showing grades and attendance.
7. If you are a Veteran, please include a copy of your DD-214 to receive credit for your Veteran status.   

Applications that do not contain all of the required documentation will not be considered for apprenticeship.  Applicants will be ranked based on initial application, written test and oral interview. Top applicants will then be notified for acceptance into the program. Applications will remain on file for two years from the date of receipt. If at any time you feel that you have attained experience, training or knowledge that would improve your ranking, then you are encouraged to reapply at any time.
